Now, we’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our passionate team and help drive the development and production of this truly innovative and impactful product.
Your role and impact
We are currently looking for a Project Manager with design control and risk management experience to join our fantastic team—someone who, with their experience, can contribute to the development and production of our world-leading product. You will be part of a close-knit team of 5 colleagues, working together at Sysmex Astrego’s facilities in Uppsala, Sweden.
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for project management activities related to innovation, product development and production process development within the company. You will be part of the Innovation and Program Management team and support the Director of Innovation and Program Management in coordinating several projects. Responsibilities include:
- Integrate project management with design control (ISO 13485) and risk management (ISO 14971), ensuring top-tier quality and adherence to internal procedures.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle for activities related to innovation, product development, and production process enhancements according to Sysmex Astrego’s Project Model. This includes planning, execution, monitoring, and project closure.
- Effectively manage changes to the project scope, time, and budget, ensuring project objectives are met.
- Proactively identify, assess, and resolve project issues and risks
- Ensure both a quality project experience and a quality product
- Ensure effective procurement procedures
- Assist with customer complaint investigations, production transfers, and ensuring compliance with quality system requirements.
- Support resource planning and contribute to launch and post-launch activities.
- Mentor junior team members and train colleagues on design controls and risk management.
Your profile
We're looking for a proactive, self-motivated, and resourceful leader who thrives in a collaborative environment but also takes initiative and inspires others.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive project management experience in the in vitro diagnostic (IVD) or medical device industry, with a strong background in design control and risk management.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- A background or academic degree in biology or microbiology is not a must but considered an asset
